Initially founded as The Van Boren Rubber Company in 1966, Vans exemplify the saying “first times the charm,” as their first five sneaker models remain the most iconic of their arsenal to this day. Now, one of sneaker culture’s most historic skate brands brings about its premium line: Vans Vault. Arriving in 2003, Vault set out to bring high-quality iterations of both their original silhouettes, along with originally archived models. Each sneaker is simplified and fitted with reassured outsoles, tightly woven suede, higher quality leather lining, not to mention a number of additional improvements. Along with its retouched construction, Vault also hosts a number of the brand’s most popular collaborations, recently featuring the likes of JJJound, Bodega, and Jean Paul Gaultier.
