KIDILL

“Purity in the midst of chaos” is how founder Hiroaki Sueyasu defines Kidill. Beginning with disassembling vintage wear, self-educated designer, Sueyasu, moved to London in 2002. Birthed from the London punk, post-punk and grunge cultures that he encountered in the 1990s and 2000s, Sueyasu launched Kidill after returning to Japan in 2014. The brand’s early stages proved to be a major success, with their first appearance on the runways at the 2014 Mercedes-Benz Tokyo Fashion Week. The outcome resulted in Sueyasu earning the 2015 DHL Designer Award, which recognizes up-and-coming fashion designers with international potential. With a perfect blend of luxe textiles, Harajuku street-style and punk irreverence, Kidill continues to produce quality garments that evoke ’90s grunge nostalgia.
