Camperlab, a Mallorca-based line from footwear company, Camper, explores sustainable, unique, and ironic designs through the creative direction of Achilles Ion Gabriel. Camperlab’s image speaks to the art of contradiction and humor, while also implementing the spirit of the Mallorca Island. The company creates designs ranging from utilitarian sock-sneakers, to western-inspired leather loafers. Along with their organic designs, a substantial amount of the materials used are traceable, recycled, or recyclable. The 30-year-old director has a goal for bridging the gap between aesthetics and ethics, and believes that companies should hold full responsibility over their carbon footprint. Their mission is to bring the rich Mallorcan culture to life through vibrant colors, funky shapes, and sustainable materials.
